Just a few steps from the hotel, a fencing hall will be set up at the S. Giovanni Rotondo Sports Hall (1,500 sqm), with around 20 electrified metal pistes for technical fencing training. Inside, there is a fitness area dedicated to athletic preparation sessions. There is also an outdoor space for recreational and physical activities in the open air.

Class of ’71, he was an Olympic athlete in sabre at the team event of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and served as Head Coach of the Italian Sabre National Team for 16 years, achieving numerous prestigious results. He is the most successful Head Coach in the history of the Italian fencing team.
After competing on the world’s most prestigious pistes and stages, both as an athlete and as a coach, he now promotes and teaches all the secrets of our sport, offering his exceptional professionalism, expertise, and experience.
Class of ’87, she was an Olympic sabre athlete and a prominent member of the national team, recognized both for her international triumphs and the tenacity she demonstrated throughout her Olympic career.
European Team Champion in Tbilisi 2017 – World Team Champion in Leipzig 2017 – Individual finalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She is currently a coach at the Giardino Fencing Club in Milan and is ready to share all her experience on the piste.
Coach Alex Sourimto began fencing at age 7 and competed for the Belarusian national team from 1996 to 2003, earning major World and European medals at Cadet, Junior, and Senior level, along with multiple World Cup and national titles.
He graduated in 2002 from the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture and Sports as a fencing coach and later completed advanced specialization courses.
From 2005 to 2007, he was Head Coach for Cadets and Juniors at the Republican Center for Olympic Preparation, and from 2007 to 2015 served as Head Coach of the Belarusian Senior Men’s Sabre National Team. He was also Olympic Head Coach at the Beijing and London Olympic Games, achieving top international results, including a 5th-place Olympic team finish and silver medals at the 2011 World Championships.
In 2015, he moved to the United States, working as assistant sabre coach at Ohio State University, where the team achieved strong NCAA results. Since 2015, he has coached at the Manhattan Fencing Center, and since 2024 has also been an assistant coach at New York University.
